Prince Botchway

Founder, Owner & President

Prince Botchway is the Founder, Owner, and President of Royal Athletes. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Sports Management and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. A former college football player and three-sport athlete in high school, Prince also served as a Community Relations Intern with the Kansas City Chiefs — an experience that deepened his belief in the power of sports to strengthen communities. Sports and movement played a defining role in shaping Prince's life, teaching him discipline, leadership, resilience, and the importance of community.

Those experiences became the foundation for Royal Athletes and continue to drive his vision today: creating spaces where young people and communities can experience joy, wellness, belonging, and personal growth through movement and education.

Prince believes movement is powerful, joy matters, and that sports and wellness can open doors, build confidence, and bring people together. What he values most about Royal Athletes is the opportunity to give back through the very thing that changed his own life — building experiences that positively impact individuals and communities while helping young people grow into confident, healthy, and purpose-driven leaders.

Andy Akotia

Director of Programs & Communications

Andy Akotia serves as the Director of Programs and Communications for Royal Athletes. A United States Marine Corps infantry veteran and lifelong multi-sport athlete with a background in soccer, football, track & field, and basketball, Andy returned from service to what he describes as his true calling: working with young people through sport.

He brings discipline, leadership, and a builder's mindset to every part of Royal Athletes. Andy oversees the organization's programs, coach development, school partnerships, and digital communications. His work spans designing curriculum, supporting coaches, leading on-the-ground events, and building the platforms and brand experiences that carry Royal Athletes across the communities we serve.

Andy is passionate about turning movement into a foundation for confidence, character, and community. He believes in strong fundamentals like footwork, coordination, and total-body control, and in coaching that helps young athletes build resilience and self-belief that last well beyond any one sport.

What Andy values most about Royal Athletes is the chance to serve young people and the communities around them, and to help shape the experiences that grow confident, healthy, and purpose-driven leaders.
