Prince Botchway

Prince Botchway, is the Founder, President and Lead Coach of Royal Athletes.  Playing sports since the age of 9, Prince developed a passion for sports at a very early age. He played various sports such as soccer, basketball and football in his adolescent age but pursued football as his main focus. Prince became a star running back for Bowie High School in Bowie, MD. Prince's sights were set for the pros until he suffered a knee injury his senior year. Staying persistent and motivated, Prince entered Wesley College before transferring to Averett University to play college football. Though still receiving pain and having to play on a ill knee, Prince decided to take a different direction in sports. While in college he worked as a coach and mentor for a non-profit organization called HYPE (Helping Young People Evolve). He earned his BS in Physical Education, Sports Management and went on to intern and work in the Community Relations department with the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens and D.C. United. There he was given the opportunity to interact with young children in football and soccer and developed a passion for educating and coaching children in sports. He bypassed a career in professional sports to fulfill his love for coaching and developing youth.

Realizing the opportunity to combine his gift and talents for sports and love for youth, Prince was led to start Royal Athletes. Prince is decorated with many certifications and qualifications as a coach, educator and mentor, please see below.
